Issa look – Rosy Valentine’s Day

Guess what? Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. I needed an excuse to do another “Issa look” post so this is perfect! Whether you celebrate or not, let’s get glam together!

There’s so many different ways to celebrate the day of love. Whether it’s with your partner, your family or just your damn self (remember, self love is the most important type of love).

I might not be going out but I most definitely will be spending it with the ones I love and my cat. I can cook dinner at home in full glam without one question being asked!

Eyes

I wanted this look to be as soft and feminine as possible. I used my Too Faced Love Palette which is PERFECT for Valentine’s Day… Or really any night out! I blended out my crease with a soft brown and instead of building it up with a darker colour, I just worked it up to my brow bone and finished it off with a pale beige shade.

I wanted to incorporate as much pink as possible without over-doing it. Then, I wet my brush and packed on this beautiful pink shimmer shade from the same palette.

I cleaned up my eyebrows and put on a brown mascara for a polished, almost natural look.

Lips

I grabbed a few different pink shades before I settled for this beautiful, creamy, coral pink from MAC’s Playland collection called “Toying Around.” I thought it perfectly complemented the eye look without stealing the show.

It gave me just the right amount of colour while still looking kissably soft. I’ve been really going wild with the matte lips lately, I decided to take a break and revisit some of my cream lipsticks.

Face

How many times have I said the word soft in this blog post? Let’s change it up! I wanted my complexion to look as velvety, smooth as humanly possible. My skin has been really aggravated recently, break out after break out has left me with some irritated skin and deep scarring. I’m not trying to accentuate my flaws, instead I decided to bring a healthy glow back to my face.

I started with NYX Angel Veil Primer which is starting to become my go to! It leaves you with a matte, satin smooth finish and is really one of the best bases I have used! Flawless every time.

I then used one of my favourite foundations, the Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir Foundation. CLICK HERE FOR MY FULL REVIEW. I spot concealed, A LOT with my NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer and you better believe I have a full review for that too – CLICK HERE!

Now I have a flat canvas that I need to bring life back into! I hit my face with 10 cc’s of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette. Finishing powder all over my face, a light dusting of blush and I warmed up my skin with some bronzer. Unfortunately this palette isn’t available to purchase anymore. (Shout out to my best friend Ellen for hooking me up) but Hourglass has so many amazing complexion powders to chose from!

Guess what?

Happy Valentine’s Day
