Issa look: Simple New Years Smoke Show

Whether you’re going out or staying in, it’s fun to get ready and greet the new year as your best self!

My New Years plans are different every year. Sometimes I count down while in bed, sometimes with family at home and sometimes with a bunch of strangers in a club. Whether I stay in or go out, I always want to do something special for myself.

I rarely wear makeup during the work week so the holidays are a perfect time to try something new!

Let’s do it!

Eyes

I tend to use golds and coppers so I wanted to try something different. A frosty, silver look it is! The silver really brought out the colour of my eyes and made the colour in my crease pop.

I began with smoking out the outer corners of my eyes with a Black Jack and Lethal from the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette.

Slightly cutting my crease with a concealer, to clean up the edges. I wet a dense brush and built up the silver eyeshadow for a frosty look. Sephora discontinued this silver eyeshadow which is fine with me. It’s not a great product and took a lot of work to build up. Note to self: Find a good silver eyeshadow in 2018.

I then grabbed my BH Cosmetics Shaaanxo palette and used the brick red to deepen the crease and the frosty gold to add more dimension in the crease.

A brow gel and waterproof mascara and this makeup look is bullet proof.

Lips

I need my Stila Stay All Day liquid lipstick to ensure my lips won’t budge throughout the night. Bacca, a beautiful raspberry, all over my lips and a touch of baci, a nude pink, in the centre.

I’m ready for my New Years kiss!

Face

I started with applying NYX Shine Killer primer to my T-Zone to avoid any major disasters throughout the night. I wanted a matte foundation so I went with my FENTY Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation and a touch of Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Cream for a subtle glow.

I followed up with baking my under eyes and T-zone with RCMA No Colour Powder and finished with a touch of this beautiful pink/coral blush from my BECCA X Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette.

My face is on, now all I have to worry about is what I’m gonna wear! No turtleneck knits in the club.

How will you be greeting the New Year?
