Issa Look – Christmas Glam

Hey guys! After all the running around, shopping and wrapping, did you leave some time for yourself? I completely forgot about Christmas Dinner, you know, having to put yourself together and see your family.

I wanted to make this as hassle free as possible, while still looking beat. I’m going to use the word “natural” and you guys are going to laugh at me but hear me out – This is a natural, glam look (if that makes any sense). No lashes, no eyeliner and no contouring. We’re doing an overall light look with a hit of colour and glitter!

Let’s do it!

It’s a Christmas Miracle! I love waking up to find no new major break outs on my face!

Start with a clean face! Wash, tone and moisturize. I always wait 5 to 10 minutes before I apply my primer and another 5 to 10 minutes before I apply any foundation. I find that letting your skincare properly sink in helps with the longevity of your makeup.

I got started on the eyes. This is SO easy. All you’ll need is a dark crease colour and two shimmer shades. I choose my Morphe 350 palette. An espresso brown to darken the crease and a shimmery brick colour to top it off. I wanted the shimmer to have more dimension so I added a lighter bronze shade to the middle of my lids.

I also highlighted the middle and inner corners of my eyes with Trophy wife.

A little bit of mascara and a good dark eyebrow pencil and you’re good to go!

Next I had the hard choice of going with a red or not wearing lipstick at all. I mean there’s really no other choice. A classic red for Christmas is ICONIC. Fenty’s stunna lip paint in uncensored has quickly become my favourite liquid lipstick. It’s an amazing shade of red and it doesn’t budge.

This means that this Christmas you can eat, drink and be merry – all while not having to worry if your lipstick is still on.

I primed with Benefit’s porefessional for a smooth, matte finish.

For the complexion I wanted to go with something light so I choose my Smashbox CC cream. I knew I was going to be wearing this all night so I didn’t want to feel uncomfortable. For the extra coverage that I needed, I used Tarte’s shape tape concealer.

I set my face with RCMA No colour powder and dusted my cheeks with a light rose shade from the Morphe 9N blush palette.

To finish it all off – I dowsed myself in Morphe’s continuous setting mist which left me with a soft glow.

A festive look in under 20 minutes! Merry Christmas to all indeed!
