My Christmas Wishlist
My Christmas Wishlist
As Christmas slowly approaches, I find myself on Sephora’s website more and more. I’m always buying little gifts for myself around the holidays. I mean, just the other day Sephora had a big banner on their website saying “ORDER BY MIDNIGHT DECEMBER 18th TO RECEIVE YOUR ITEMS ON CHRISTMAS EVE.” Did I buy any gifts? No. Did I buy myself one two many things? Maybe.
Anyways, here’s a little list of items I’ve had my eye on for a while now (waiting for those sales to drop! Come on Sephora, don’t let me down).
Santa baby, hurry down the chimney tonight… with a minimum of three of the following items:
This palette has been sold out everywhere since its release in late June ’17. The colours are all so beautiful and unique. I’m a sucker for warm tones – especially burnt oranges and brick reds. I need to add this to my collection and try to wear some more bold eye looks.
This mini KAT VON D palette is the perfect size for me, and with the perfect shades too! This palette is brand spanking new and to make things worse, it’s sold out in every Sephora near me. The eyeshadows look so versatile and unique, making this the perfect Christmas palette.
These are amazing! I swatched Gold Goddess in my local Sephora – It looked so glittery and foil like. I find myself putting way too much effort into doing glittery eye looks. A lot of my glittery eyeshadows don’t adhere or don’t stand out as much as I would like them to. These are so easy to use, fool proof (really!). The overall quality and product longevity is amazing! I need ALL of these colours.
I have the original COVER FX Custom Cover Drops, which didn’t live up to the hype. When COVER FX released the Custom Enchancer Cover Drops shortly after, I was hooked. I wanted to try them out but couldnt justify the high price tag for something I was unsure about. These are the perfect size to test out and you get to try out all 4 of the 9 in the collection!
I need a good contouring set. I don’t like the idea of a cream contouring palette, it seems like a lot of work. These sticks though, -the ergonomic design makes it so handy and easy to use. If you know me, you know that I love all FENTY products. I own a few Matchstix and since they’ve joined my collection, I haven’t used any other highlighters. They look so blendable and matte, a must for a contouring set.
As always, I’m constantly on the hunt for a blush quad that catches my eye. I bought one from Morphe and the colours are beautiful but the formulation is simply crap. They’re not blendable and look very streaky. This blush kit from Anastasia Beverly Hills is highly reviewed and well loved for it’s blendability.
Have you ever used a Amazonia Clay Blush from Tarte? I think it’s safe to say that they’re the best blushes on the market. The price tag? Not so great. I cringe every time I have to spend over $40 CAD to repurchase Blissful (my favourite colour in the collection). But in this set, you get to try so many different colours. The formulation is amazing and these DO NOT budge. I need this in my life immediately.
I’ve been meaning to try the both of these products out. Each one on it’s own is ridiculously expensive. Even if the product is amazing, I just can’t justify spending that much. This is a pretty great price for two products that claim to make you look years younger. I’m not too old but my skin has been THROUGH IT. I need to give it a break and find some great products to stick with.
OLEHENRIKSEN is one of my favourite skincare brands. Their Powerpeel changed my life. Every year I buy myself a small holiday set around this time. You get to try out so many different products, I still haven’t found one from this line that I don’t like, and the price for the quantity is really reasonable!
