Skin Salvation – Sukin Australian Natural Skincare

When purchasing skincare, I try to look for the most natural products with ingredients that I know of and can actually pronounce. Sukin is Australian made, cruelty free and vegan. Not only is the formula good for you, the packaging is good for the environment; They are carbon neutral, biodegradable and grey water safe.

You may have been browsing through your local health store and stumbled upon this brand. It can be found anywhere from Winners to Whole Foods and everywhere in between. The first time I tried anything from Sukin’s line, I was in desperate need of a hydrating moisturizer during my chapped winter months. I grabbed the Rosehip Hydrating Day Cream and since then I refuse to use anything other than Sukin!

I was so used to my regular oil-free, fragrance-free drugstore moisturizer. My skin just needed an extra kick. This gave me exactly what I needed and ever since I’ve been working my way through their entire line.

As you can see in the photos, I have one product from each range. They have so many different collections for all skin concerns meaning that there is a product for everyone.

I have oily, combo skin.

My skin feels so parched at times that It freaks out and nothing I give it is enough. My skin gets used to products so easily that the first time I use something I can completely fall in love with it and after 2 months I’m completely over it. I haven’t had this problem with Sukin since the brand itself is so affordable, I can actually purchase more than one thing.

I switch my daytime moisturizer depending on what my skin is asking from me. I usually go with the mattifying option but anytime my skin is begging me for hydration, I’ll use the sensitive option giving me a nice light layer of moisture. Both work wonderfully as a base under makeup depending on what type of finish you prefer. I gravitate towards the mattifying option as it keeps me shine free and absorbs quickly, making it easy to throw on in the morning.

For nighttime, after I’ve double-cleansed, I’ll start with toning my skin, putting on the facial recovery serum followed with the night cream and an oil to finish.

The products work so well together, balancing  and quenching my parched skin overnight, bringing life back into it.

Here are a few notes from Sukin’s website on these products –
