OOTD – Storm a-brewin’

Okay first of all talk about how I’ve had a pumpkin spice latte for two days in a row. Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest I feel like we can begin.

It’s smoggy and smokey here due to the forest fires going on in BC. It’s hot and humid but that didn’t stop me from taking one look outside and going “It looks cold, better put on a jumper.”

If you know me, you know I love fall. The smell of leaves, the rain, the hot coffee on a cold day, the boots and the layering. I’m not into dresses and shorts, I’ve always loved layering and wearing big chunky boots. I love being warm and cozy, wrapped in a big scarf.

I guess you can say this is a transitioning outfit. We’re right in-between Summer and Fall. I wouldn’t dare wear these boots during a typical Vancouver downpour. However, the pants and jumper can be worn year round.

My strange addiction

I own more high wasted crepe trousers than I’d like to admit. I’m sure TLC would have a field day looking through my collection. The same pair of pants in different colours being ripped out of my closet, me on the floor crying.

I mean, you’re basically wearing stylish pyjamas. I wear them on a casual night in with friends, to the club and yes even to work. They’re soft and do me good after a good meal or high kicks on the dance floor.

I never stop hearing “where did you get your pants?” That’s when I have to sheepishly act like I forgot or shamelessly plug the blog for more information.

These boots still haven’t done me dirty. They’re yet to break in but they’ve held up their end of the bargain and not made me cry at the end of a long day. The look beautiful with loose trousers or jeans but hey you can wear them with whatever you please and you’ll look put together.
