Welcome back!

Today I’ll be reviewing the BECCA x Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette

They say not to judge a book by it’s cover but looking at this packaging makes it extremely difficult not to.

I’ll admit, I may have jumped the gun and bought this solely because of my love for Chrissy Teigen.

Need I say more?

Let’s jump right into the product and see if it’s more than just pretty packaging; is it worth CAD 56 dollars on Sephora or USD 46 dollars on becca’s website?

You are getting one highlighter, one bronzer and two blushes.

Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Highlighter (a cult favourite) will set you back CAD 35 dollars, for 0.2 oz of product. Where as you’re getting: 0.18 oz Rose Gold (highlighter), 0.18 oz Beach Nectar (shimmery blush) 0.085 oz Hibiscus Bloom (blush) and 0.085 Malibu Soleil (bronzer). 0.52 oz in total.

Not bad!

Tell me this isn’t the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?

I’ve been using this for the past week without looking at any reviews and I got to say; I really like it! The highlighter is beautiful, very finely milled, no chunky glitter. You can definitely build this product and go from a subtle day time look (suitable for work) to a extreme glow and I mean, EXTREME.

I use beach nectar as a highlight even though it’s advertised as a blush. My skin is far too textured to wear this on my cheeks.

Hibiscus bloom is a beautiful golden, peach blush. The colour pay off is wonderful. You need very little to get a beautiful flush of colour.

The bronzer is decent. It’s very bendable which gives you a nice natural glow. You can build it up for more of a contour but I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s too shimmery and has more of an orange undertone. You want to go with something matte and more grey to simulate natural shadows on your face.

I have medium/tan skin with yellow undertones and I love how it looks.  I’ve seen some mixed reviews online and it looks like some people are upset that it doesn’t show up on paler skin.

I hope this isn’t the case. In the winter, after my tan is long gone, I’ll still be trying to grasp onto this palette with my life.

Overall, I think you get a great set of products and they all look beautiful together, giving you a sun kissed, glowing from within look. Good for both natural and dramatic looks. All the products are well pigmented, blend wonderfully and can be layered without giving you a heavy cake like layer of product.

Have you tried this? Let me know what you thought of it and what you think of the colour pay off on your skin tone.
